The South Jersey Bulldogs will be holding tryouts for the 2011-2012 teams on the dates and times listed below. Players wishing to tryout must attend only one of the weekend tryouts, but must attend both days, Saturday and Sunday.

Cost to tryout for the South Jersey Bulldogs is $35. Payments can be made with cash or check ONLY. Checks should be made out to The Sandlot Academy.

Players will need to dress appropriately for baseball and should bring all of their equipment, i.e. glove, bat, catchers gear, etc. Players will be graded on their ability by The Sandlot Academy Instructors and coaching staff. Players should only tryout for the age group that is determined by their date of birth.

Current Bulldogs players will need to be invited to return to their team in order to be exempt from tryouts. "Invitations To Return" will be distributed by the coaches and the General Managers.

AGE DETERMINATION:

9U - must not turn 10 before May 1, 2012
10U - must not turn 11 before May 1, 2012
11U - must not turn 12 before May 1, 2012
12U - must not turn 13 before May 1, 2012
13U - must not turn 14 before May 1, 2012
14U - must not turn 15 before May 1, 2012
15U - must not turn 16 before May 1, 2012
16U - must not turn 17 before May 1, 2012
17U - must not turn 18 before May 1, 2012
18U - must not turn 19 before May 1, 2012

The South Jersey Bulldogs asks that each player commit to the team for 11 months out of the year. In the fall, each team will play in a fall league and will also play in several tournaments. In the winter, each team will participate in 15 weeks of Winter Workouts inside the Sandlot Academy plus each player will work individually with an instructor from the Sandlot Academy on the desired skill of their choice as part of their private lesson package included with their Bulldogs membership. In the spring, the 9u - 14U teams will participate in a Spring League and several tournaments. The 15U - 18U teams will continue to practice as a team once a week, but will not play together until High School ball is completed. In the summer, each team will compete in a Summer League and several tournaments.

Costs to join the South Jersey Bulldogs Program is $750.00 (9U & 10U)/$1500.00 (11U - 16U), this includes the following:
Fall League ( 15 to 20 games)
2 Fall Tournaments
15 Weeks of Winter Workouts
Position Specific Training with a Sandlot Instructor
Five 1/2 hr Private Lessons with an instructor of choice on the desired skill level (11U - 16U)
Spring/Summer League (30 - 35 games)
4 Spring/Summer Tournaments
Full Uniform (Hat, Socks, Belt, Pants, Jersey) and Player Equipment (Helmet Bat Bags)
Travel Team Baseball Membership Dues
Insurance
Team Equipment

Payments will be broken up in to three $250.00 (9u & 10U) $500.00 (11U - 16U), due dates will be provided with the Welcome Packet given to all members. Welcome Packet will have detailed information on all of the items listed above and more.

The South Jersey Bulldogs Program is not a replacement for your recreational town team, membership is geared to those players who are serious about the game of baseball or are looking to enhance their skills, not all those who tryout will make a team, we ask that all those who are seriously interested in enhancing their skill and want to learn the proper way of playing the game tryout.
